After deciding which turf is best for your application, you need to find out how much turf you require. Albar Turf is sold in square metres, which can be easily calculated using the following instructions:
To calculate the area, multiply the length by the breadth (e.g. 5 metres x 8 metres = 40 square metres + 5% wastage)
Total amount of turf required: 42 square metres.
Remember: always add 5% extra to allow for wastage.
We always recommend taking accurate measurements of the area before placing an order, as the turf should always be laid within 24 hours of delivery to ensure rooting is successful. Our sales team can convert measurements from feet or yards, if necessary. Now that you have your measurements, it’s time to call our sales team, who will be able to give you all the pricing details for your chosen turf, and place your order.

We offer next day delivery 6 days a week throughout Glasgow using our own vehicles or if you order only a small amount of turf, this can be collected from our Turf Farm in Glasgow. When delivering turf, we do require accurate delivery details. For example, if you live in an area with restricted access for vehicles (e.g. City Centre), please let us know so that we can ensure that we arrive at a suitable time to make delivery. For new Housing developments that are not yet on street maps/guides, we would require specific directions to enable us to deliver your turf without any delays.
